ITT secures three contracts for wastewater treatment plants in Portugal

25 June 2010

GGC (Guilherme Goncalves Correia & Filhos) and CTGA (Centro Tecnologico de Gestao Ambiental) will install Flygt and Lowara pumps, Wedeco UV reactors and Sanitaire diffusers with Atlas Copco blowers.

When the ITT technology is installed and the plants completed, the wastewater systems will process 1,500 m³ of water and wastewater each day, serving a population of 30,000 people in Montemor-o-Velho and the surrounding area.

Anibal Azevedo, general manager, GGC, said: “ITT’s reputation for high-quality products and warranties made the company the premier choice for our first wastewater treatment plant project. We are excited to enter this industry with the best partners, design plans and products in the market.”

Construction on the first wastewater treatment plant began in March 2010. Project completion for all three plants is scheduled for first quarter 2011.
