The award commends Carlisle’s dedication as a ganger (foreman of a work gang) to improving site safety and his approach to creating a culture of safety amongst his co-workers which has contributed to the success of construction projects on which he has worked.
Carlisle has worked on various schemes undertaken by Black & Veatch for Yorkshire Water including current works to increase storm water capacity at Bransholme Lagoon in Hull, UK. Carlisle’s role in developing new procedures and safety rules stems from his experience working in excavations, cofferdams and confined spaces.
