AECOM awarded water treatment and reuse project

31 August 2010

AECOM Technology Corp has won a US$101 million design-build contract for a water and wastewater project in Davie, Florida.

AECOM Technology will design and build a 6-million-gallon-per-day (MGD) brackish water membrane treatment plant as well as a 3.5-MGD membrane water reclamation facility. The project also includes a new utility office for the town, a series of five raw water wells, two deep injection wells and reuse of the reclaimed water. The facility is scheduled to be completed during 2013.

“We are excited to play a key role in the completion of this water treatment and reuse project, which is vital to area residents and future development,” said John Dionisio, AECOM president and chief executive officer.
