The agreement covers
Hydro International’s DynaSand filtration units for suspended solids, nitrate and ammonia removal.
There are already 25 DynaSand units in Scotland, providing tertiary treatment for sewage and industrial wastewater treatment works. They have been operating successfully for up to 14 years.
“This Scottish Water agreement allows us to consolidate our position as one of the leading tertiary wastewater treatment suppliers in Scotland, and we look to build on our existing service infrastructure, as we help to improve water quality standards even further,” said Chris Day, Hydro International’s operations director, Hydro Wastewater Division.
Hydro International is the sole UK supplier of DynaSand technology, with more than 500 installed DynaSand units since 1996.
