The first project ThermoEnergy and AECOM will be working on together is a proposed ammonia recovery project featuring ThermoEnergy's Ammonia Recovery Process (ARP) technology, at the New York City Department of Environmental Protection 26th Ward water pollution control plant.
Dennis C Cossey, CEO of ThermoEnergy said: “ThermoEnergy is pleased to be allied with a company of AECOM's stature and capabilities and we very much look forward to expanding this relationship beyond the New York project, especially in the rapidly developing nitrogen/ammonia removal market. Ammonia removal using our ARP technology is the focus of our initial interest and we have already identified at least five other potential municipal ammonia removal opportunities we plan to jointly pursue.”
Steven D Guttenplan, chief technology officer for Global Water said: “As a global leader in the water and wastewater industry, AECOM has an obligation to support technology advancements that are energy and cost efficient. Our partnership with ThermoEnergy advances this objective.”
