BioteQ Environmental Technologies signs contract for pilot plant project

Contracted by a new customer in the mining industry,BioteQ is responsible for design, installation and operation of the pilot plant which will recover dissolved metal from contaminated water.

When the pilot operations are complete, the customer has the option to expand the scope of services to include design and construction of a full-scale plant, under a design-supply-transfer business model. BioteQ would provide fee-based design, procurement and commissioning services and the plant would be owned and operated by the customer. BioteQ would provide ongoing technical support for the plant on a fee basis.

Brad Marchant, BioteQ’s chief executive officer said: “This pilot plant project contributes to BioteQ’s project development goals that we set out for 2010. Pilot projects are an important component of our strategy to enter new markets and secure new customers. This project is the first of two pilot plants we have set as goals for 2010 and we are aggressively pursuing additional new projewcts for our business development pipeline.”
